Our Story

Green Valley Decorative Rock has been serving the communities of Southern Arizona for nearly 30 years! Our company strives to deliver the highest quality service for all of our valued customers and partners.

From large contractors and municipalities to the individual do-it-yourselfer, we have the material you need to make your landscape beautiful and functional.

We believe in consistently treating our customers the right way and making sure our product is available and our deliveries are on time. We know how important it is to follow through on the expectations we set for every customer. You will experience the attention to detail that you come to expect from a locally owned, small business. Our fourteen employees take pride in their work and do so with a smile. Your interactions with our team will be personal and productive.

In May of 2021, two brothers acquired Green Valley Decorative Rock. Michael and Edwin Knitowski are 3rd generation Tucsonans and come from a family of small business owners and entrepreneurs. They got their start as landscape contractors and were customers of Green Valley Decorative Rock. They bought the business because they love the family environment and the high level of customer service the company had always provided them. They are focused on continuing that service and expanding the products available to continue to support contractors and homeowners with their landscaping needs.

Our team is proud to supply landscape materials to customers across Metro Tucson, as far north as Catalina and Oracle, all the way south to Nogales, east to Sierra Vista and Benson, West to Marana and Three Points, and everywhere else in between!

Mike and Ed

Mike and Ed purchased the company in May 2021 they have been in the industry for much of their lives and were born and bred in Southern Arizona. They hope to take the company to new heights, while continuing to provide the amazing customer experience GVDR has been known for.

Ricki

Ricki is our fearless General Manager. Ricki is primarily in our Green Valley location, yet oversees our day to day operations at both locations.

Mike

Mike is a “behind-the-scenes” driver. Mike is crucial to our success, stocking both of our yards with material. He covers a lot of miles in a day and continues to bring a smile to our faces regardless of the day.

Mario

Mario is an office assistant and loader operator in our Green Valley location. His charismatic personality and work ethic are contagious, he’s a family favorite!

Kimmie

Kimmie is an Office Manager at our Green Valley location. Kimmie is a wonderful addition to our family, she’s eager to learn and share her wit with us all!

Robert

Robert is an office manager in our Tucson location. His personality is genuine and we sure hope that you stop and say hello; whether he’s in Tucson or Green Valley, he loves to learn about our customers.

Scott

Scott is one of our delivery drivers. He is also a great help in our yard as he can help us out operating our Loader and Skid Steer.

Scott Duffy

Scott or DUFFY as we call him is certainly a big part of our operation. He really is a Jack of all trades. You can find him doing one of many things like, stocking our yards, making deliveries, or repairing something on one of our trucks.
